My Lock Down Blues Show on TotalFM 91.8 is proving to be popular in Spain, the UK and America. I now have a four hour show on alternate Sunday afternoons and love it. Big thanks to Chris and Wendy Williams for having faith in me. On Sunday 8 January my guest on the show was Nicky Bates, a yoga teacher and lovely lady. She was a great guest and I hope she will return later in the year. On Saturday 14 January my Margaret was admitted to a private hospital for surgery. She has recovered and is well.
On Wednesday 18 January we woke to see heavy snow falling. Apparently, this was the first snow fall in the area for over 30 years. It was gone by the following morning. The weather continued to be unpredictable with rain and high winds present. My show on the 22nd was cancelled because it was too dangerous to drive to the studio!
On subsequent shows my guests have been local rock/blues band Hangover Tuesday and Dr Henk Landa. I´m looking forward to more guests in the future. Steve Glance, our friend from Orange County, USA, contributes Steve´s Grateful Dead Storybook for each show. He provides a story for the Grateful Dead track I play. Excellent stuff.
Margaret and I spent a lovely overnight stay at the Mont Sant Hotel in Xativa on Valentines Night. Great food and accommodation. We continue to enjoy great times with Victor and Bettina, David and Eileen and Mandy.
Mandy recently introduced us to her friends Pantha and Tia, who are visiting Japan at this time. We showed them the photographs from our visit and we are looking forward to hearing the story of their visit.
Margaret and I are now back into our routine of visiting the Gym three times a week and we thoroughly enjoy it. We are now in the final stages of preparations for our trip to San Francisco later this week. Steve and Marsha Glance will be spending time with us and helping to celebrate Margaret´s birthday on 7 April.
More next time.......
