Hi,
As mentioned, I've been busy. I'm not very good at prioritising so Margaret steps in and keeps me on the right track. I've written a number of poems, two sets of lyrics and a few thousand words to ease my 'Bad Back'.
We've enjoyed some great meals out proving the point that it's not necessary to spend an arm and a leg to eat well in Spain. Wilf and I attended a couple of CB(Costa Blanca)Blues Matinees at a bar in Javea. Some great local musicians, notably Tom Poole, Markus K and Craig Rhind provided us with superb blues music for a couple of hours on Friday afternoons. The hat was passed around and it looked as though the small crowd gave generously. A local hard rock/blues band 'Hangover Tuesday', continue to go from strength to strength. Look out for them on Youtube and when you're in this part of Spain. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.
I've recently entered into the world of Facebook and I'm pleased to say that I've been in contact with Mitch, a work colleague and friend from the Prison Service. I'm looking forward to speaking with her this coming Sunday afternoon.
Our beautiful Siamese Giorgio continues to rule our days and nights and is remarkably bright for a cat approaching 17 years of age. We love him.
SCAN (Society for the Care of Animals in Need) continue to do incredible work here on the Costa Blanca. We attended the AGM, a couple of weeks ago, and I was staggered by the amount of work and organisation it takes to make this good cause so successful. Well done.
I will be posting more and regular blog posts in the coming months.
